Bubble Tea, Breakfast, Lunch, Diner and more .... London Summer Time
The weather is absolutely lovely in London which make it a very agreable week end destination. As it is hot is the perfect time to try the drink which has shop dedicated to it all over Soho, Covent Garden, Chinatown and even at Harvey Nichols fight floor: BUBBLE TEA. So it is a drink coming from Taiwan, with a base of cold green tea mixt with fruit juice, to have it more sweet you can add some honey wrapped Tapioca pearls in it as well as exploding fruits pearls.
My favorite hotel in London is now the new open Firmdale hotel the Ham Yard decorated by one of the owner Kit Kemp, in a very English eclectic style. When the weather is as nice as it is currently it make it the perfect place for breakfast or lunch on the outside terrace in the courtyard, located in the midst of Soho.
Next to Soho, Covent Garden district has to new comers, comptoirs small plates style restaurant.
Barrafina Adelaide, sister restaurant of the one in Soho. This one is even better, more open and bright and the Executive Chef has move to this one.
New comer on Rupert Street is from Jerusalem there is have 5 restaurants.
The Palomar is a excellent addiction to the international restaurant scene of London. Propose a different and excellent cuisine of the Middle east regions.
Just open last week. Lima Floral - Flora Street . Covent Garden. Sister restaurant of Lima Charlotte street Michelin start Peruvian restaurant.
The Russian owner of the excellent and successful Burger&Lobster chain just launch a new place in Mayfair call the Beast. The experience start at street level when you have received in presence of a enormous Bear, than you get in an elevator and you arrive directly on a impressive meat fridge and crab aquarium. Then you see the longue tables, candelabras , the open kitchen .....and other details that I let you discover.
Located in a basement which is surprisingly light, this is a new concept of high end restaurant. Une table for every body and I menu (you can only choice you drinks and dessert). On the menu, to make you wait a selections of Parmesan, Olives and Onions. Than comes the piece of meat and the King crab with sweet corn, carrots ans beetroot. I have to admit the meat which is imported from the USA, rub in Casher Salt, grilled and than cover with a special marinade is the best meat I ever had. Testy, tender, perfectly cook.
