Saint Tropez

La Voile Rouge is definitly closed, les Palmiers are to bling-bling and over the top for lunch, so we are going back to Club 55. In fact, Club 55 is very Saint Tropez, good local food with no chichi and old school sun bed directly on the sand which  is quite nice. And of course nice crowd.

Before diner Drinks: the best is still the Pan Dei. The White is already runout after just one year opening

Best diner: La Sauvageonne for the cuisine, for the Robinson crusoe' decoration and for Nano attention to detail of course.

Rivea: Alain Ducasse new high hand restaurant ( replacing the Spoon which we did not like)  is worth going, the Mediterranean cuisine is delicious, the decoration very well done the terrace look like a real French village place with beautiful "platane" trees. Excellent service; Expect to see there  American on their European tour.

Salama: celebrating their 15th anniversary, very good Moroccan cuisine...nice ambiance, always full.

Cristina: we like it  for the Italian pasta and cheese homemade, because it is nested in the back little street of Saint Tropez and of course for Cristina her self and her staff.

Camille: beautiful view, right on the sea, the place is a bit stuck in the 80's. Very traditionnal provencial family restaurant. The owner use to be a fisherman and for sure he cooks the best "Bouillabaisse" after Tetou in Golf Juan. When you arrive you will see the fire where it is cook, rare to see that nowadays.

DIOR: the restaurant is outside in the garden in the center of St Tropez in a garden. Very nice cuisine, nice ambiance (a group was playing brazilian music)

Avoid Indochine : crappy food all microwave, poor service...ridiculously expensive for what it is.
Hotel : La Bastide des Salins, for the beautiful park and  the owner

Shopping: get a pair of Rondini Tropézienne sandals, made in Saint Tropez  since 1927 or a pair of K. Jacques. Personally I find the Rondini more special as you can find the K.Jaques on netaporter
Visit the wineries surrounded Saint Tropez, an bright some good Cote de Provence Rosé or Red wine
