Chanel just open a its 3 floor flagship in New Bond Street and I have to admit it is breathtaking....a real luxury temple. This is their biggest shop in the world...impressive.

Casa Negra: as replace Great Eastern Dinning Room so no more asian cuisine but be ready for home cooked mexican street food

Viajante : Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes set his restaurant in the former town hall on Patriot square
. The restaurant is small with 50' furniture and a large open kitchen which is of course the center of attention. The cuisine is innovative and delicious. Be ready for an outstanding tasting menu.

Little social: nice cool New York brasserie wannabe French style restaurant... the bread is excellent

The Clover Club : Shoreditch Town Hall. Issac McHale young promising chef is delivering a interesting innovative new English menu in a no chichi place. Very Shoreditch very Hipster.

Diner: High on the list of new opening is Novikov. Novikov is a Russian restaurant mogul, happy owner of around 50. Novikov is is first restaurant outside London, it is a big place with two restaurant one Asian, one Italian and a lounge bar. which is a remake of the bar in the Fasano in Rio. We choice the Italian Brasserie, ( don't forget your glasses if you want to be able to read the menu..) It fells like you are in Las Vegas or Dubai but certainly not in Mayfair London. Food was good and service was good too but it just miss the "wawawroom" and feel plastic.
Miss also the tablet cloths ...... I was expecting at least a bit of crowd watching like at Cipriani...no no the place is completly anonymous, full with family, not even some botox or birkin bag , no pretty Russian neither.
I will not rush back to "the restaurant that every body is talking about" Novikov.

Make sure you stop at Trafalgar Square to see the Blue Bird
